Today's the Day!

This hop gave us a darling new pattern by Amy Bradley (thanks Amy!) and tons of prizes collected by our amazing Madame Samm
 and our own fabulous cheerleader
Marlene

These blog hops are great....so many fabulous ideas come from them.  Be sure that you visit and try to leave everyone a comment!

I am scheduled for Monday the 25th and I am still working on mine, but I hope you will like it.  I got pneumonia a couple of weeks ago and let's just say I am not as young as I used to be and it is taking me a little longer to come back, but I am working on it.

So go visit, what are you waiting for!

Alright...I'll try anything to get more done...

Thearica over at Pigtales and Quilts is inviting all of us to join her in a push to complete more projects each month!  Now she bought this neat chalk board from Dreamstime, but me I will just list my five things that I would like to get finished in January and then link up with her.  And she's giving away prizes!  Go on over there and link up!

So here goes:
1.  Finish one embroidered block on my "Snow Crazy" embroidered quilt.
(Patty and I are doing this together (only in blue) this year.  The pattern is by Jana Davidson at Turnberry Lane)

2.  Finish one embroidered block on my "Bee Happy" embroidered quilt.
(Patty and I are doing this together too!  Pattern by Tricia Cribbs at Friend Folks)
Tricia of the fabulous "Turning Twenty" fame.
3.  Finish one panel on my embroidered table runner/quilt? with the little twister borders.
(Pattern "In the Meadow" by Jana Davidson at Turnberry Lane)

4.  Finish my garden club mug rugs I need for the May meeting.
(13 are done, need about 5 to 10 more)

5.  Prepare my "It's All About Me" wall hanging for Madam Samm's newest blog hop.
(Has to be ready to be posted February 21-28)
Check out the button on the right side of my page.

Linking up with Pigtales and Quilts!
Have a great day!

Fun, fun, fun

See that new  button on the right....."It's All About Me"!  How fun is this going to be!  I already have an idea about how I want to make myself look...hope I can pull it off.  Madame Samm is always coming up with the greatest ideas and Marlene Bush over at Stitchin by the Lake is one of my favorite bloggers.  Her's was probably one of the first five I started following.

I just finished participating in "In Your Words" blog hop, but I messed up and put it on Bits and Pieces the LQS blog.  But it was still so much fun and I got so many sweet replies.  If you would like to see my project hop on over.

You know, it's a new year, a fresh start! I have so many projects I want to do this year....sometimes it is a little overwhelming. So I decided to take one day at a time. Imagine that!
I have sewed or embroidered for at least an hour everyday this year so far.
I am so proud of me.
And I really am going to try and finish some of my UFO's. I promise, really!
But I just found out that two of my "adopted" children have decided to become one!
They are getting married at the end of March and I am so excited. Ashley has asked me to make her wedding invitations and I am honored. I love designing graphics.

Have a blessed day!
I know I will!

I hope everyone had a safe and Merry Christmas

Sorry there was no post Christmas Day....weather took the internet out!  I pray that everyone in the bad weather's path made out OK!  It was a little nerve wracking here for awhile.  Most everyone that knows me, knows that I am terrified of bad weather!  I wasn't like that until Hurricane Katrina changed me.

Me and God do a whole lot of chatting when the weather is bad.....and guess what...he keeps telling me the same thing....FEAR NOT!

I am so blessed to have friends that treat me like family all year long, but especially during the holidays.  So as soon as the bad weather passed thru they texted and wanted to know if I was coming for Christmas supper....I was already getting dressed when they called.

I don't know about you, but as soon as Christmas is over I start planning the New Year!  Wow, 2013, can you believe that!  Quite frankly, if I sewed 365 days a year, I couldn't possibly get all the beautiful things I want to make, done in a year!  And then all of you inspire me to add to my list with your beautiful projects.
BUT PLEASE DON'T STOP!
I love reading your blogs!

So hope your Christmas was wonderful and everything  you wished for.....

and Happy New Year!

You are all so kind...

I wish I could answer every sweet comment I received about my "Kitty Lane" pillow.....but....I had an emergency!  My beautiful Little Man was so sick when I came home Monday that I found him hiding in the clothes hamper in the bathroom.  It was 7 p.m. so I had to wait to take him to the vet Tuesday morning.  I was so scared!  He is my heart!

The vet says he has Feline HIV.  It is not contagious to humans, but it caused him to have mouth sores so he was having problems eating.  He received a mega shot of antibiotics and another of steroids.  He was so sad looking when I brought him home that night.  He had to eat some special food with lots of nutrients and drink lots of water.

I am proud to say that he is sitting in my lap right now, looking at me with those big blue eyes and meowing softly to let me know that he objects to me typing instead of loving on him.  He is still not 100% but he is working on it.  But he is really upset because he can't go outside!

Wasn't the Holiday Lane hop fun!  So many beautiful ideas!  I would love to say I am going to make some more, but....

Sounds like so much fun!  I love words!
Madame Samm has done it again.  Check it out!
